Rue remains a solid and excellent overall choice when dining out in Charleston. The restaurant is situated in an excellent location downtown and feels like you are stepping right into a French bistro. Our server, Dakota, was attentive and offered exceptional dinner and dessert choices to our group. It was nice to see the general manager, Mike, on hand to ensure things ran smoothly. If you have time, grab a drink at the bar with Junior, the bartender. He is one of the best in the business and can tell stories about the Charleston scene going back decades. When ordering, go with the Strip Au Poivre - it is a tried and true staple on the menu. It has been my favorite for years.

We had quail, pork belly, chicken franchaise, and the lamb chops. Everything was delicious including the bread. Can't say enough good things about Sara (without the h). What an amazing server!

Food not up to the standard we have come to expect. We have eaten here many times but this time food was less than hot, fries were cold. Cocktails were good!

Food was absolutely excellent; I love to cook myself and grew up in France. This is bets coq au vin I have ever had. The salad was also very good, not the usual boring. The restaurant was a bit noisy, it would be good to create some sound barriers to make it easier to converse.

Our waitress was Marissa. She was wonderful and very attentive. She helped us with our food selections and was spot on. The mussels were fabulous! Also had the duck, perfectly cooked, The scallops, the chicken fricassee, The lamb… and the potato truffle soup(delicious!) Thank you for a wonderful dining experience for our family of 4!
