Enjoyed “afternoon teas” over the Holidays at the Plaza in NYC, Baccarat Hotel in NYC and today at the Brown Palace. All were enjoyable. The food at Brown was excellent with good service and ambience.

I *know* it’s the Brown Palace, I fully understand the location, historic significance, the ambience of the location. However, $75 per person for two pots of tea and a three-tiered selection of snacks (while delicious, the quantity was shocking for the price) to sit along a walk way in the room where people were coming in off the street the have their photo taken, being loud, and obnoxious, the piano playing was so nice until a younger gentleman came in to take over. Soft, gentle Christmas music turned into to loud, jazzy stuff. The cost was simply outrageous.

Had a lovely time but it’s pricier this year than in past years. We were told we couldn’t use more than 3 credit cards when splitting the bill which was annoying. And we were asked to leave after 1-1/2 hours since the next seating had arrived. That’s fine but the attendant was not very pleasant when notifying us. Valet was pretty slow and made us cross the street across traffic to get our vehicle. All in all a nice time but probably won’t come back next year.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We’re glad to hear you had a lovely time overall, but we’re truly sorry to learn about the inconveniences you experienced. We understand how the credit card policy stated on our menu and the time limitations we outline in all reservations emails might have impacted your visit, and we sincerely apologize that these weren’t communicated further. Your comments about the valet and service are also noted—we value your input and will use it to ensure we’re improving the experience for all our guests. We hope you’ll consider giving us another chance in the future, thank you again for bringing these matters to our attention.

A delightful afternoon tea! Great ambiance for Christmas season.. All the staff were attentive and took great care of us. I asked for a table away from the piano and hostess went out of her way to find a quieter table for us! Our server from Moldavia was delightful. The food was delicious and plenty of choices. The tea was hot and topped up with hot water frequently. My one complaint would be that there was only one pot of tea per person -I would like to have had a few more to try. I should have asked for more as I think they have given it to me!

A fabulous tea, when the waiters heard about my Friends birthdays. They brought them each a cupcake with a candle burning. The entire event makes me want to attend yearly.

The Brown Palace afternoon tea was very disappointing…not up to prior experience. I have frequented several Teas at very prestigious establishments…this experience was poorly executed. Table was not set appropriately…no tea strainer mentioned it to server…no response had to share with another guest. Flatware wasn’t consistent for our table. Food was marginal at best. Very noisy couldn’t hear the pianist. Server stated could only split the check for three cards…seriously. Noted on reservation that this was a special event…no recognition by hostess or server. The experience is not worth the high cost! You’re better off going to your favorite breakfast/lunch spot…save your $$ for a place that is worth the high price!

Went for Christmas Tea for the 6th year and was again extremely pleased. Food, service and elegant setting makes this a very special experience. My 3 year old granddaughter went this year and the staff was lovely to her and made her feel very grown up and welcome. Look forward to next year.
