Service and ambiance were great but food was just okay for me. Lacked seasoning and flavor in the mashed potatoes, fried chicken, veal and chorizo meatloaf, and greens. My wife had the shrimp and grits which was great and my mom had the lobster and shrimp enchilada dish which she also loved.

I’ve been going to Agave since it opened 24 years ago. I no longer live in Atlanta but am so happy it’s still here. The food,ambience and service are just as wonderful as they were back then. It remains one of my favorite places to eat when I come to town.

As always, I hate the valet parking. It takes way too long for them to park and get your car. The parking lot is big enough for people to park their own car. The valet is the worst of the entire dining experience. Everyone else from the host to the chef are extraordinary. If you can get past the disdainful valet, I say definitely try this place. The food is amazing!

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Cherise!! I appreciate the acknowledgement. Wishing we didn't lose a star for the valet. We just switched Valet companies to improve the level of service for the guests. There are many reasons why we have to pay a valet company: -The valet protects the vehicles in our lot. When we didn't have one, car windows were smashed out regularly. -Yes, some nights there is a place to park, but there are many nights the lot is full and we need to maximize the lot in order to fill empty tables. -The restaurants down the street from us (who have little to no parking) have been utilizing our lot and valet that we pay for which also fills up our parking lot. We live about an hour outside of the city and drive in to eat Agave every few months. My boyfriend loves the crawfish pasta and I usually have either red pepper salmon or scallops. We've never had a bad experience here. We love everything about Agave, minus the traffic for us to get there.

Food was fantastic, as usual. Seating and service was prompt. Waiter attentive and helpful. Overall a great experience. My only negative is that the overhead music was too loud for my taste.
