   Very much enjoyed my dinner here with my sisters. It has a lively atmosphere and our server was fantastic. I had the blackened mahi mahi which was seasoned deliciously

   We arrived for our second visit here booked a week in advance. They were very disorganized and frantic upon arrival while telling us we’d have a short wait because tables hadn’t been cleared. After a long 20 minute wait past our reservation, we asked the hostess why we hadn’t been seated when two spaces were open the entire time. She proceeded to seat us finally only to have us immediately being approached by a manager questioning the validity of our reservation and asking us for proof. We were so offended we almost left. The food was good but very questionable as to whether or not we”ll ever return again.

   Amen Street's bill includes Charleston's 11% tax. Fine, But don't try to slip in a 20%, 22%, and 24% tip on the food and tax amount. And bartenders should not give attitude when I only tip 17% on pre-tax. Ruined the experience. As for the food, small portions of bouillabaisse. At least the seafood seemed high quality.

   Cocktails are amazing; service was impeccable and food is good. We enjoyed oysters (delicious) and the crab soup (a bit fishy, but tasty). We enjoyed the scallops (perfectly cooked) but the side that came with it was too much and overpowered the star; bouillabaisse (outstanding) ample amount of fish; and fish of the day (perfectly cooked).

   Fabulous. The only issue i have is when a restaurant calculates the tip and includes the meal tax in the calculation,as this restaurant did. I have a real problem with that and it should be illegal.

   Delicious from top to bottom. Had oysters, she-crab and shrimp and grits as a sort of Charleston classics coursed meal. Maybe seems a little pricey, but not for Charleston standards, really, and the food was very well prepared. Would come again and recommend folks eat here for sure. Service was also solid without being too overbearing. Give it a shot if you want to see what the hype is about Charleston seafood!

    Always fabulous fresh oysters! Good service. The noise level was extreme last night. A huge table of about 15 men nearby and we could barely hear each other.
