   This as our first time dining here and we had an excellent experience. The service was excellent from the second you walk in to the restaurant until you leave. They are very attentive and friendly in a genuine way that doesn't feel forced or fake. The food was excellent and the portions were very generous especially for Carmel. I got the rack of lamb for $60 and I got 3 enormous double chops a fantastic potato dish along with a generous portion of veggies. Normally in carmel for $60 you get a 6 oz piece of meat. The restaurant is large and spacious so you don't feel cramped. All in all we were very happy with our experience from the food to the service/ambiance etc. We felt the value was excellent especially for Carmel and will absolutely return frequently. My Wife got the seafood fricassee and it was also excellent. A+.

   I had the lamb chops, best I ever had. We travel to Carmel about 2-3 years and we always go to Anton and Michels because it is primo. My wife had the filet mignon and it was cooked perfectly and she said it was the best she has ever had. We live in Sierra Madre,Ca, and have great restaurants there and in Pasadena but this restaurant beats them all. Service and ambience is great.

   We have been going to Anton & Michel since the early 90's and have always loved our evenings there. This time was a let down. The evening was just flat!! A martini should be shaken for 30 seconds. Not 3 or 4. The salads should be made freshly. The beets should not come out of a package. The entrees were decent. But, the lackluster service really accentuated the quality of the evening. Anton & Michel has ALWAYS been a restaurant that we would go to on every Carmel trip. Sad to say we will skip it on our next visit...

   A fun, old school style restaurant in Carmel! Drinks were great, highly recommend the French onion soup and the filet. Very romantic vibe. Staff was excellent

   We had a very lovely lunch! Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. Great food and great ambience! Our favorite restaurant that we always come to in Carmel and thank you so much for having safe gluten free options!

   Very nice overall experience. Went there for my wife’s birthday. They noted it and were very nice about mentioning it. We ordered some nice wine (glasses but their list has a wide variety) and split the duck pate- yum! My wife got the wagyu spare rib and I ordered the 20 layer lasagna. Apparently they thought they took too long as they apologized and brought us some of their soup if the day-tomato basil. Texture was very smooth and flavor was great. Then the entrees arrived. Both were great but too much to eat for us so we boxed the leftovers up and proceeded to the cherries jubilee (well we saved room for desert). We always like the spectacle of flaming desserts and thus was fun to watch and eat. Overall a lovely 2+ hour meal that was well paced and all courses very well executed. And less than $125/person with tax, tip, and the 3.5% eco charge. I’ve paid more for less impressive meals. I’d go back for another special occasion and recommend it highly.
