Was promptly greeted by friendly staff. Seated at a table with panoramic view of harbor and city skyline. The server was knowledgeable about the menu and was good at answering questions about the menu. Food and drinks were very good. Will definitely go back in the future!

Menu was interesting but overpriced for what it was, don’t think we will come back for another meal. Worth coming back for drinks/apps and the view. Big open space, noise carries from one side to the other.

The Bali Hai restaurant is always vibrant, energetic, and has a tiki-islander theme throughout the restaurant which is fun. Traffic made us late for our reservation, we called our server several times to let her know, and she was kind, understanding, and adjusted our reservation several times for us. Nadeem our server was fun, kind welcoming, and made sure we had a blast. The kitchen staff accommodated us with custom side dishes we wanted, we were mesmorized by the flexibility of the kitchen staff. The Bali Hai is a special place and a must try for everyone at least once.

This is not my first time at Bali Hai, but my first since COVID. The menu has gotten smaller but the food is still good. The view of the harbor is still wonderful. The Mai Tai was not good, very watery and bitter. The waiter service was terrible. My food was warm, not hot. I could not send it back to be warmed up as the waiter did not stop by our table for at least 15 more minutes. He finally stopped by after we had finished and we requested boxes for leftovers. He left and returned with a box...for a nearby table, but none for us. TIP stood for "To Ignore Patrons". We, and several other nearby tables, finally got our boxes and bills paid when a front desk employee came to our tables to find out why we were still there (they had 8:00 reservations to seat). She quickly did what needed to be done to get our meal done in a professional manner.

We had a wonderful evening and were lucky enough to get a table at one of the windows which afforded us a great view of the harbor at sunset. Our server, Issac, was friendly, charming, and attentive. The food was excellent.

The best part was the location, the outside lights, fireplace, the history and decor on the walls. The tables by the windows, overlooking the tranquil waves is an amazing offer from this restaurant. It gives a perfect island vibe with the food and drinks from the same theme. It takes you to one of the islands you have visited. We were in Hawaii all the time while eating here, emotionally. Not to miss when you are visiting San Diego.
