   We went to Benihana’s in Anaheim to celebrate our son’s 14th birthday. We have dined at Benihana’s at numerous locations many times and have always been pleased with the service. For this particular visit, it was extremely unpleasant. We arrived at 8:30 for an 845 reservation. We were told that the reservations were 30 minutes behind schedule and that we would not be seated till 915. We were finally seated shortly before 9:30. Our host walked us to our table and we had specifically chosen Benihana‘s because we had seven people in our party and we know that their tables seat 8 so chances are there would not be a single diner there so we would get the table to ourselves. When we walked to the table, we realized that, the restaurant had added an extra chair to table a table for nine. Anybody that has eaten at Benihana’s before knows that if you had an extra chair, it will be extremely tight for all the diners. It was definitely tight for us and unfortunately, we had a very hard time the food in front of us our beverages on the table as well. We ordered drinks which took 15 minutes to arrive. We also ordered two orders of Gyoza that did not arrive until the chef was actually cooking the food. Our soup and salad bowls were left on the table until we summoned the waiter to come get them. Unfortunately, he did not come by until we were halfway through with our meal and because the bowls were on the table, we were unable to comfortably eat our food. Our 14-year-old rarely complains about anything, but in this particular case, he looked at my wife and said how come my soda refill is taking 15 minutes? When the chef arrived at our table, he greeted us as most of the chefs do, but he was in a very big rush to get all the food out onto the plates. The grill was on extremely high heat, and the food was being cooked very quickly. The smoke from the grill was unbearable and was burning the eyes of the people at the table people.

   was a bit of inconvenience that we had reservations at 7pm and didn’t get seated till 7:45pm other than that food was great and drinks were great!

   It was pretty awful. We got there 15 min early for our reservation and they ended up seating us almost 40 minutes after our reservation time which made us late to a show we were going to after.. I get that things can run late but 40 minutes after your reso time is a lot.

   We had a reservation for 10:15 PM and arrived at 9:40 PM to enjoy a few drinks before dinner. The restaurant was extremely crowded, and we were not seated until 11:45 PM. I cannot recommend this restaurant due to the poor management of reservations. Although the food was good, the overall experience was disappointing.

   We waited almost 2 hours. The food is always great that's why we waited. They did give us a few gift cards. Our chef Tony the baloney (I think) was awesome. Lol

   I love benihanas food but anytime I come to this one specifically my reservation is usually 1-2 hours from its original time.

   Even with reservations, they had us wait over an hour and a half. Reservation for 8:30. They text at 10:00. Really bad experience.

   I don’t advise going on any form of Hoilday. They were taking walk in guests while running an hour and a half behind on reservations. The food and chef were amazing, the server not so much

   We made reservations for 715, they said corporate overbooked them. We didn't sit down till after 830. Dinner around 930. Kids falling asleep at the table. My steak was mostly fat. Chicken was good. Shrimp was good rice was good. Waitress service good. But really disappointed in how long we had to wait.

    We had a reservation for 7 o’clock. We were not seated until almost 830 and we didn’t leave the restaurant until after 10:30.. I understand that Valentine’s Day is busy, but that is why we made a reservation. The cook was distracted and got several things wrong. There was someone not in our party, but at our table that didn’t want sesame seeds, so none of us got sesame seeds. It was a really disappointing experience.
