   The fried rice lacked seasoning. The steaks were cooked to the requested temp. The Waygu steaks were seasoned well but the NY Strip was not seasoned enough. The scallops were cooked well but lacked seasoning and flavor. The shrimp and lobster were extremely overcooked, rubbery, and lacked seasoning and flavor. Overall it was a disappointing experience.

   We have been coming to Benihana the last 7 yearsat least 3 times a year. The service and team were always nice. However the last couple of visits, we were placed in very cold side rooms that were noisy and uncomfortable. Another new change we felt was the seasonings and portions. They are much saltier than usual and seem smaller in the last 2 visits.

   Mentioned in comments that we were coming in for a 9 year olds birthday. Despite mentioning that, was paired with people who had been drinking for awhile at happy hour, and thus had to answer a lot of questions from our kids about how loud they were, slurred speech, etc. Wasn’t super pleasant. Kind of ruined the birthday meal. Probably won’t go back. Food was decent but relative to the price paid - not a great value. The issue where you can’t control who you’ll get paired it is… kind of a problem. You don’t want to pay more than $300 to sit with people who are loud and unpleasant.

   We had an amazing time- our chef Chencho was funny, talented, wowed us with his skills (which is impressive because I’ve been dining at Benihana for decades!!), and attentive to the little extras people might need. Extra sauce, extra spice, little considerations. Not every chef does that. Our server though, sweet as they were, and maybe they were new, or maybe just super busy- let all of our tables drinks go empty for way too long. Many of us stopped eating because we had nothing to drink whatsoever. But they were doing the best they could, and when it was brought to their attention they were responsive and prompt. Overall a great experience. Perfectly cooked rice, shrimp, lobster tail, slightly overcooked steak but absolutely not a fault, just got mixed up with the person next to me. Still yummy and still a fantastic show.

   We went to Benihanas for a birthday celebration. Initially they wanted to set us in a far back room that only had two tables in it. It appeared to be an addition. It was very cold and they were heating this area with portable heaters. I requested we be moved to the dining area where there were several open tables, in which they did. The teppanyaki chef was terrible at best. The waitress noticed this and had him switched out for another chef. This chef was better. The steak was not very flavorful, the rice was good and the chicken was good. The ladies bathroom was very dirty and dusty, to the point people were writing things in the dust on the bathroom stalls.. I've dined at Benihanas at Tamarac Square and it was an entirey different experience - a fantastic experience, they even took our photo and put it in the Benihanas paper frame as a momento for us to keep! I'm very disappointed in the experience we had at the Broomfield Benihanas.

   Our chef, Welton, was great! He was funny and did great work making our food. Highly recommend him. 10 out of 10.

    We went for my daughters 7th birthday. When we made reservations I asked for a private room and the person I spoke to said that he could make that happen. Reservations were at 6:15pm they did not sit us until 7:20pm and the only reason they sat us was because I spoke to the manager and told him how frustrating it was to have to wait over an hour when having a reservation. He showed me the table tops on his ipad screen and told us the reason they couldn’t sit us was because we needed two table tops and one of the table tops still had people that had been there over 2 hours. However, this doesn’t explain how we had been waiting over an hour for us to be seated. This is something they need to figure out before making these reservations. Last time we’ll be coming here.
