   Our waitress and bartender, Jasmine were outstanding. Our Chef, Mario, did an amazing job too.

   First the good. The service once we got seated was great. (Took a while to get seated and we were the only ones there) but Chloe took good care of us The chef we had was very nice The not so good. We were told it wouldn’t be a problem to get the lunch menu on Sunday unfortunately this wasn’t the case We also have to request a full menu as they only seat you with a partial menu The food was ok except for the ginger salad dressing (which I usually love) the dressing was bitter I couldn’t even finish my salads The price was exponentially higher than the last time I was there (again couldn’t get the lunch menu at 11am) And $6 for each of us to put the rice on the grill instead of steamed was WAY over the top All in all NOT worth the money any more Your best bet is if you see a SHOGUN go there better food and MUCH better prices

   There’s better teppanyaki in Indy by far. Expensive for what you get (the chicken portions were not even half a chicken breast). Shrimp was not deveined properly and the lobster I had was way overcooked. Steak had good flavor but was prepared incorrectly for one of our party (wanted med rare, got med well… said med well on the ticket but we said med rare multiple times).

   We had a reservation, but it took forever to get drinks delivered to the table and our server was too forgetful. She didn’t write things down so she couldn’t remember anything. The food was good but the restaurant was too old and tired. I will not go back and do not recommend.

   The food was great. That's the only good thing I can say about our recent experience at Benihana's. My daughter has been celebrating her birthday at Benihana's for 14 yrs, this yr broje that tradition. The server was extremely slow & couldn't get the simplest requests correct. We ordered steamed rice, which wasn't brought out until we were packing up to go. The cook was extremely rude & surely, he did two of the usual 5 or 6 tricks & had a bad attitude anytime we declined food or asked for extra time on the grill. My bill was wrong & when the manager came out, he was just as rude. I will never bring my family back to this overpriced restaurant.

   The last few times we have made reservations and arrived on time, have had to wait 10+ minutes to be sat. There did not appear to be a staffing or seating shortage, or any other visible reason why we had to wait. Ordered bar drinks but only 2/3 arrived. They changed their soup & salad dressing recipes which was disappointing, our kids usually devour them but didn’t touch them this time after first bite. I think we will opt for Izakaya moving forward, as we have never had a poor experience there.

    Made a reservation for 6:15pm. I arrived before that time but still didn’t get seated until 6:55pm. The food lacked flavor. The ginger dressing on the salad was extremely lemony and sour.
