   We waited for a table for 45 minutes past the reservation time. Once seated we were neglected and not offered any service at all. 65 minutes after our original reservation time we got up and left never even having a chance to order drinks.

   I made a reservation for 9pm, by 10pm we did not receive drinks yet or any appetizers & they had just taken our dinner order. I ended up leaving prior to receiving any drinks or food due to poor service. I will most likely not be attempting to dine here again.

   I made reservations for 9pm. We got there at 9pm then was told it was busy so it would be a few minutes until we were seated. We did not get seated until 10pm. When we finally got seated it took another 30 min to even get water & drinks. By this time it was almost 11pm and the chef was not even at our table yet. I opted to just get up and leave. What is the point of reservations?? Overall , this place was very unprofessional, disorganized, & chaotic. Would not recommend going here unless you have patience.

   when i came in there was no host & the lounge was crowded i sat myself at the bar waited an hour to be serviced an employee was in there yelling my order was wrong my drinks barely had liquor im not going back

   We made a reservation at 7:30pm. We didn’t get seated until 8:15/8:30. We were seated at a table and waited until 9pm for anyone to take our orders because no one knew we, along with other members were there. It was poorly managed.

   The place still is dysfunctional. Took an hour to get our soup, chef wasn’t at the right table, server was MIA to the point we got drinks after we were done eating. Go somewhere else…. And I am a Benihana 20 years customer. Just a shame what a disgrace this place is in Plymouth Meeting. I tried again after a year long break from the disaster it was last time (and twice before that).

   This Benihana location has really upped its game from a few years ago! From the moment we walked in, everyone was friendly and accommodating. We were on time for our reservation but requested to have a few minutes at the bar. Bartenders were friendly and served up delicious drinks quickly. Hibachi chef, Hai (not sure of spelling), was outstanding & performed a trick or two I hadn't seen before. Food was delicious. Jenny, who has been there for years and oversees customers' special occasions, was fun & attentive. Our server, Alex, was also friendly & attentive. Bathroom was clean. Couple suggestions - restaurant could use some music so that when hibachi show is over, there is some ambience. Also menus, etc. could use more frequent wipe-down. Overall, they are doing a great job here. It's one of the few Benihanas left in the region - let's keep it bustling with business!

   The stir-fried dishes were too salty as well as soups. Sashimi and sushi weren't fresh either. Prices are high compare to other places. Menus are sticky. It was such a long wait for each plate to come out. Overall we weren't happy at all dining there. Server is good and attentive. It would be our first and last time dining there. Not worth to try at all if anyone would plan on going there. Improvements is definitely in NEED!.

   They should seriously close this location. It is so dirty and worn down that I cannot even imagine what the kitchen looks like. Our table was ready 40 minutes after our reservation, and drinks took 1 hour (just water). The wine cooler cabinet was locked, and no one of the staff could get in. They are short about 5 chefs, and the food was just blah. Our poor server was so overwhelmed, but she tried hard, and we tipped her well. The rest of the place gets 1 star if that.

    I have to admit, I was very disappointed in our experience this past Saturday night. When were taken to our table my son was placed at the end of the group, not even part of the hibachi table. And he wasn’t even given a place setting until I asked for it two times. And then they didn’t even bring a napkin or chopsticks, which I also had to ask for. We sat at the table for almost an hour before anyone even took our order. I understand that the restaurant was busy, but they didn’t even acknowledge how long we waited. Nobody even apologized. Dishes from leftover food, and even the servers tray and trash from our chopsticks and straw wrappers were left at the table the entire time. Nobody checked in on us or even cleaned up after our space between courses. The food was mediocre in comparison to other times that I’ve visited Benihana or another hibachi restaurant. The place was loud, noisy filthy and poorly run. Finally, at the end, they got my bill wrong twice. It’s like my server didn’t even care what she put on each parties receipts. They had to fix it twice. And then, I believe I was overcharged. I got the Benihana Trio and they actually charged me extra for the rice! Doesn’t rice come standard with a $50 entre? I just don’t get it. Everybody knows me to be a non-complainer but I had to voice how upset I am with this whole experience. Benihana, I really want you to make this up to me. I’m beyond disappointed with you.
