   I had reservations for 6pm i was full in therr but it only took 10-15 mins to be seated took abt 15 to order our food we talked n laughed by then it was time for sho we enjoyed everything n they song happt birthday to my brother a great way to end to night not my first or second time n it always a nice visit

   We hadn’t been to Benihana until years. The service was excellent, however having a plate of onions and shrimp, although tasty, left something to be desired. They need to include other vegetables.

   Worst ever ! Had reservations for 6:30 . Checked in 6:20pm. Was informed it will be a 30mi. Wait. 45 min passed by and was told there was 6 tables still waiting ahead . We waited for 2 hours to finally be seated and food was super salty on my end . Maybe cause I was already frustrated . Never AGAIN COMING TO SANTA MONICA LOCATION .

   When we arrived immediately we were taken to the table area and told to find where we wanted to eat. The waiter was friendly and took our order and drinks. The cook was excellent and did his tricks as they always do. Food was outstanding! We ordered the lunch specials. Benihana never let us down. I recommend this as a must for excellent for fine dining.

    RUN!! Waited 45 for a table, despite having a reservation. They packed two additional groups into the table, making it 9 people plus a baby. Then waited another 20 minutes to even get a glass of water. No manager ever appeared to apologize. The place is dated and the smoke extractors are weak. Dominick the chef was wonderful and the food was decent but never going there again.
