Berners Tavern, a restaurant by chef and restaurateur, Jason Atherton effortlessly blends historical charm with sophistication. Nestled within The London EDITION, situated on Berners Street in the heart of Fitzrovia in central London, this renowned restaurant boasts a dedicated street entrance, welcoming guests with open arms. Head Chef Andrei Poptelecan embarked on his culinary journey across Europe, honing his skills in various captivating locations such as Romania and the picturesque Greek Islands. In 2014, he joined the team at Berners Tavern as a Demi Chef and has since ascended through the ranks to his current position.

Join us on Friday 2nd May for the second in our monthly concert supper series; Live at Berners. Taking place on the first Friday of each month, the series will pair a curated dining experience with live musical performances in a candlelit setting. Tonight our string quartet will take us on a musical journey, beginning in the grand ballrooms of Vienna with compositions by Haydn, Schubert, and Kreisler, before crossing the Atlantic for Broadway classics from The Sound of Music, Les Miserables, West Side Story, South Pacific, and more. Our la carte menu is available as well as a special set-menu including a welcome glass of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Champagne, a Patrón Silver Clarita cocktail, or a non-alcoholic alternative.

Taking place on the first Friday of each month, the series will pair a curated dining experience with live musical performances in a candlelit setting. This month's Berners Live- Pride special - is presented in collaboration with the creative team behind Classical Drag - a vibrant fusion of contemporary classical music and London’s trailblazing drag scene. Hosted by iconic drag artists Dinah Lux and Barbs, with special guest instrumentalists from the LGBTQ+ classical community, the evening promises an extravagant and unforgettable dinner party of music, wit, and theatrical flair. Our la carte menu is available as well as a special set-menu including a welcome glass of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Champagne, a Patrón Silver Clarita cocktail, or a non-alcoholic alternative. This month we will be rounding things off and celebrating the start of the highly anticipated Oasis tour with a Oasis and Brit Pop Summer special. Our la carte menu is available as well as a special set-menu including a welcome glass of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Champagne, a Patrón Silver Clarita cocktail, or a non-alcoholic alternative. Looking forward to seeing you then, and we will be back in September with more Live at Berners events.

The staff here are amazing, really friendly and attentive but not overbearing, The surroundings are great and super buzzy without being too loud. The food is good but not amazing, mine was under seasoned and the vegan options are fairly limited particularly the desserts. The wine list is amazing and the cocktails and champagne although expensive (£20 average for cocktails and more for bubbles) were good. All in all expensive but good for a celebration.

Fantastic experience. The team were outstanding, special mention to our waiter James. It was my birthday & they gave me a desert with a candle. As we mentioned we were going to see The Devil Wears Prada we received a plate of fruit with a quote from the show iced on it, as well as red cocktails. Food was delicious with options for everyone. We will definitely be back, thank you

Although the food was delicious as usual We felt the service and ambience wasn’t up to scratch and therefore our experience wasn’t great Honestly I’m not sure I’ll be going again!

Probably the best dining experience we've had in London. The food and service were 5 star, the surroundings and ambience were fantastic. Special mention for Giresse and the rest of the team for making it so special, such great fun, friendly people. Can't wait to go back!!

We were so lucky. The restaurant was having a music night and so we were treated to a concert by a glorious string quartet in a candlelit dining room. Fernando and his team smashed it. We will remember last night for years to come. Thank you

We enjoyed the overall experience. The staff were not only very professional, but extremely pleasant and the service was excellent. We hope to return. My wife's criticism was the quality of the house champagne. She felt the bottle had been opened for too long.

One of the most beautiful dining venues in London, superb service (James made our evening), delicious food (highly recommend the chateaubriand with beef blade mash), and fantastic wine menu.
