   Food and service are consistently wonderful!! Some must trys are their crab cakes, Thai calamari, and the onion soup. For lunch, try the croque monsieur or the lobster BLT. If they have the New England clam chowder as the soup of the day, GET IT!!

   Food was excellent and it was priced fairly. The service was a bit slow, particularly when waiting for the check, but the larger problem was that the server did not come back to the table in a timely manner to ask if everything was satisfactory. That failure was reflected in the size of the gratuity. Having been in the restaurant business years ago, I know that it is essential to check with the customers soon after the food is delivered, as that would afford the opportunity to the server / kitchen to rectify any possible problem(s).

   Food was excellent, but more importantly the staff was wonderful as they were extremely helpful with my mom, who has difficulty walking and uses a walker, navigating in and out of the restaurant. Very appreciative.

   The seafood risotto was loaded with lobster and muscles. Quite delicious. The apple tart was light and tasty.

   My wife and I have come here for many years although sometimes large gaps of time between visits since we live in Huntington. Whenever we go to the Engeman theater we go to our favorite Northport place Bistro 44! The service is excellent and they remembered us which was nice and welcoming. We shared the stuffed mushroom special app and fried mozzarella which were beyond the normal deliciousness. We always get the short ribs and I returned to an old favorite spinach ravioli with lobster meat sauce! They were never better! The two servers and bartender and hostess were all accommodating and we had the best time. We will be back soon and I also can recommend the tuna, salmon and duck entrees. A reservation is highly recommended. The prices are fair for the quality and ambiance although not pub prices by any stretch. Love the BISTRO!

   Been there several time... Always consistent. Chef Jose and Kevin as trained there crew well. Dishes are always well present and taste very consistent and Service very attentive

    Three of us went for lunch. We each made a different choice & we were all pleased with our selection. I had the lobster BLT. It was very fresh and tasty. It came with very good fries. The portion was large & I took half of the meal home. One person had a blackened Cajun chicken sandwich from the daily special menu. It was a hit. The soup of the day was a yummy split pea. The third person had a grilled chicken sandwich from the regular menu, which she liked. The waiter was very attentive and accommodated a request to substitute a baguette in place of the bread that was on the menu. Our water glasses were kept full and we were not rushed. Bistro 44 is an excellent choice for lunch.
