Bistro du Midi's cuisine features French Cuisine inspired by Coastal New England influences. Our wine list represents the true soul of a bistro wine list. In a classic French bistro, wine is very much a part of every meal. As such, we offer a variety of experiences and wines at a tremendous value in a range of prices. Our elegant yet relaxed environment overlooks Boston's beautiful Public Garden with a spectacular view. A street level Bistro features floor-to-ceiling windows, and in the spring and summer our patio provides some of the most optimal al fresco dining in the city.

The food was amazing, including a variety unique flavors (the beet gnocchi and endive salad were spectacular). We dined here as a family and everybody found numerous items on the menu they liked (a win for a family of vegans, vegetarians, and flexitarians). Our server was fantastic, truly. They made sure our meal progressed in a timely fashion so we could make a post-dinner show. 10/10.

It’s a little bit chilly in the dining room, presumably cold air coming in as people enter. Started with the foie gras, but the salt around the torchon detracts significantly from the flavor of the pate so that was disappointing. It could also have been assisted by more toast or bread. The halibut was good as was the apple tart dessert. I enjoyed a classical Negroni to start and had a glass of Pinot Noir which was a little on the thin side. Overall a good but not excellent dinner.

Our lunch before attending the Urban Nutcracker was delicious, as always. However, the apple dessert was underwhelming and the portion quite small. On a positive note, our waitress was wonderful!

A beautiful location, impeccable service (Shout out to the ever attentive, informed and unfailingly prompt, polite and engaging Luis! He also takes a great picture) The food was outstanding, from the opening oysters through Halibut, Steaks, Duck and finished by the Chocolate Souffle. A glorious wine list, a little intimidating, but lots of ready and willing guidance available if desired. This was a great place for a family holiday dinner. The only consideration is the dining room was a little loud, but that may just be my old ears. And the lighted Public Garden out the windows was a cherry on top!
