   My husband and I love Black Angus. This visit was because of their 61st anniversary. We had the steak,lobster and fried shrimp for $19.64.It was amazing. The service staff is always so friendly and helpful. Always a great place to get dinner and cocktails.

   We realize that when we go early, around 3:30, the bartender is waiting on tables until the servers arrive and the bar gets busy. The bartender can’t do both. It slows down the service.

   We've gone to this restaurant for over 43 years. And in that time neither the quality or service has deteriorated. Great food, served in a reasonable amount of time, and our server was outstanding. Definitely will go back again.

   We celebrated my husbands birthday with dinner at Black Angus. Our server was very attentive and wished him a happy birthday, made some good wine recommendations and managed our order at the pace we preferred. The food was perfect. We were happy to see the artichoke appetizer back on the menu and enjoyed that! My husband had prime rib and I had the rib eye. Dinner topped off with the cowboy cookie and ice cream - perfect! One thing we observed last night is that Black Angus in El Cajon must be a good and friendly place to work. The wait staff turnover must be low as we see many servers who have taken care of us for years and they acknowledge us too. We like that!

   A pure tragedy of a dining experience on a night with around 50 total guests we still had not had our dinner served to us after one hour in the restaurant. When the meal finally came out, it was missing one of the sides. We decided we had enough and did not even eat. The sad part was, there was only two items that needed to be cooked. One was a fillet, and the other was the au gratin potatoes and they forgot to bring out the potatoes. Our ticket time was well over a half hour. The other meal was prime rib, which all they had to do was cut the meat and broccoli which you just had a hand out.  we will not be returning

   We were celebrating our dad‘s 93rd birthday. There was a birthday celebration next to us gal turning 80 it was a very festive evening. The food was wonderful. We all had leftovers. We love the campfire feast that includes so much food, appetizer, dessert, etc..
