   Dec 31st preset menu was not edible. Couldn't cut the steak with restaurant steak knife. Food was barely warm. The amuse bouche spoon placed on the bare table top I guess you supposed to use it as a spoon and put it in your mouth? Hard no from the table top! The baked Alaska absolutely disgusting! Taste texture merengue was a sloppy liquid something. Didn't eat eat.Most of the steak also went back. Cocktail full of ice cubes. Very disappointed.

   It really was a wonderful night. I had all the seafood dishes. I feel like we would have been better off to forgo the lobster tail in favour of the salmon shrimp and scallops. The lobster tail was so small and difficult to get out of the shell. My only complaint. Thank you Blackshop staff for and amazing evening. The guitar players was insanely awesome cheers and Happy New Year.

   Good value, great quality of food, carefully planned exceptional menu items, great to see items not on their regular menu, amazing ambiance created by Juneyt's guitar music, absolutely wonderful experience, would definitely come back next year.

   A restaurant that has worked through an ownership change and is now a little different but fresh and interesting. Highly recommended. So tired of the road house restaurants that are no longer a cheap alternative.

   We had brunch for my mother’s 80th birthday. Food was good, server was pleasant and the table was perfect for our group of 6.

   The Blackshop used to be my favourite restaurant. The experience today was not great especially if comes to food the octopus was the worse I ever had. The halibut was over cooked😰 Margaret

   We experienced a couple of mishaps. Normally, when I eat at the black shop, it is typically an excellent experience. However, last night, a member of our party had to get up and ask for the bread to be brought to our table. Then, when I received my steak, which I had asked for medium rare, it came well done. They did manage to make a new one however it only came medium to medium well. The server apologized profusely, but the manager only came by to ask if I wanted a salad to eat while the other members of my party were eating their meals. I was disappointed in the lack of Apology from him. Another person who ordered salmon had asked for a double veggies, servings rather than the potato purée, which did not happen. I understand that it can become a mistake to mess up orders when a restaurant is busy however, the restaurant was not even half full when we attended. So to have quite a few mistakes when it wasn’t busy was concerning and may have me question if I’d like to return. Is there new ownership?
