   Took a colleague who was in town for work. Server was absentee at best— I don’t like to have to beg to get water or drink refills. Had the rockfish and it was overdone and dry. The steak was ok. The music started around 9 and was horribly out of tune. I’ve never seen a Blackwall Hitch so empty!

   My friends and I had a wonderful time. Our waiter was friendly, always checked on our table. Gave recommendations on the meals. Our orders were on time, the food was fresh and amazing. Large portions!! The cocktails were great! I will definitely come back again!

   We had an absolutely lovely lunch at Black Wall Hitch in Alexandria. The location is amazing on the Old Town Alexandria Waterfront. The decor and ambiance are wonderful and the staff was professional, efficient, and very courteous. Also, the drinks and food were exceptional; we'll definitely be back.

   The food quality was not great because it sits out buffet-style. I tried ordering multiple coffee drinks from the menu, to which the waiter repeatedly said they didn’t have the syrups for, and then he later said they just started the menu so they don’t have any of the syrups. Why release the menu if you can’t accommodate it? There was live music that was WAY too loud. It was not a pleasant experience at all. This is the worst brunch experience I’ve had in a long time, if ever. The fact that I took time to write this is saying a lot because I never write reviews.

   My shortrib pasta entree was genuinely one of the worst things I've been served at a restaurant. Overcooked pasta an beef paired with near-raw crunchy carrots and... something else that I couldn't identify. My cocktail was syrup that was pleasant enough, but had trace amounts of alcohol in it. My wife's steak was "just ok", and her old fashioned was undermixed. All-in-all, not a good experience.

   Great atmosphere, full menu. The fish special was a number 1! Beautiful at night with the lights, the water, the view. I had some out of towners with me and the Potomac reminded them of the St. Clair river. Good times.

   Always a pleasant time visiting Blackwall. Turkey sausage and chicken tenders would be a great addition by that won’t stop me from coming back

   My second time here for lunch. Great atmosphere. Chicken wings were so good. Loved my glass of wine. Food and dessert were delicious. Waitress gave us outstanding service.

    Went for New Year’s Day lunch. Good and service were great! Our server recommended his favorites and we went with a few of them and they were delicious! Got the calamari and hot crab dip with pita which everyone enjoyed! Seafood was cooked on point and our group loved the house made pasta dishes as well! Definitely be back for more!!
