   Filet mignon was fantastic, Lobster tail was superb, the service was great friendly and timely. Maple plank salmon is over the top. will be eating there a lot.

   They had a big leak from ceiling near our table. It was a real mess. We had their restaurant week special & it was good- but didn’t seem freshly made. Service was great as usual.

   The Kansas City strip steak was tender and delicious. Our server was attentive to our needs with excellent service.

   Food just wasn't as good as it has been in the past. Oysters were small, and fish was overcooked. Our server was good. But the last 2 times we have been, the food has not been like it used to be.

   Restaurant week seemed to push waiters to turn tqbles - so the entrees were served before we could finish our salads...Waiters asked us 3 times before we were finished with our meals so that they could clear our table.

   I ordered the Surf and Turf with the Filet and scallops. The steak was overcooked and what they called scallops, I would call crumbs. I got 3 scallops that were dime to maybe nickel sized. Very poor meal for the price.

   Made reservations for a birthday celebration. The 5 of us were crowded around a table near the door so that every time it opened we were blasted with cold air. Unfortunately there was not enough room to move away from the blast. Our waiter greeted us without a name and with the fact that he was “living the dream” sarcastically. He clearly wanted to be any where else. Drinks and appetizers were brought promptly but we could not get our water refilled in spite of asking him. Three at our table were drinking only water. Another waiter refilled glasses once and after waiting another 20 minutes for water we found a pitcher and started to fill our own. Two of us had ordered meals that came with dessert. The birthday dessert seemed to be an issue for him. “Great, your dessert is free.” When the check came, however, he had not taken it off the tab, said it was a manager’s job. Bristol used to be a “go to” place. It is sad to see service like this. The food was good but the dining room feels aged and tired.

    What a wonderful evening. Birthday celebration was highlighted by fabulous KC Restaurant Week deals and outstanding service from John and all the support staff. Lobster Bisque is my favorite in the city - the KC RW Scallop Special was amazing and ended the evening with Crème Brûlée - one of the best meals we have had in quite a while
