    Would have been a much nicer experience if the service would have been more amiable (you feel like you’re served in a Mc Donald’s) service and not feeling like you’re sitting in a sports bar that fails to be one. Real shame because the food was good but this was not a pleasant experience. Would not recommend.

    Went cause close to Irish Rep where we were going to show. 5:00 reservation so not busy. Might be noisy if crowded. Small place, warm eclectic atmosphere with fascinating art and decorations. Great staff- very welcoming, well informed about food, and clearly operated as a team. 2 people had moules with different sauces and both very pleased. Friites not as good as some.other french restaurants. Thicker than those but were good regular french fries. We liked the syrah better than cabernet. Carbonnara rich and good, lacking the traditioal onion component. We plan to go back.

    Everything was great but I was expecting more from the mussels; no issue at all with the preparation and the fries were terrific but the mussels themselves were a bit small and just not wow. Had better mussels at a Greek restaurant in the city the next day, wish BXL would have had the same ones. Again, I am talking about the ingredient, not the preparation, the seasoning was on point. Hopefully this was a one off. Fantastic cheese croquettes, bitter balls, and outstanding Brussels waffle. Wonderful Belgian beer selection. Great bar-like atmosphere and warm and engaging host.

    The restaurant was half empty on arrival and the music was booming disco at a sound level of a night club. When I asked the maitre d to lower it, he refused . I asked everyone to lower it, they all refused .
