This was a very disappointing dining experience. We wanted a light dinner so ordered a caprese salad and spaghetti bolognese and split it (along with drinks). The server was kind and offered to put on two separate plates. The caprese was $20 and consisted of four slices of bland, flavorless tomatoes with rubbery mozza balls. I ordered mine without balsamic but it came with no olive oil on it also. I had to ask for oil which tasted like low quality olive oil. For that price you expect heirloom tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and more salad. The spaghetti tasted like Ragu. It didn’t taste fresh and had a burnt meat taste. I’m not being hyperbolic that I had indigestion/spaghetti burps the rest of the night. This place is way overpriced for the subpar food. Add on - the next night I grabbed an Americano at the coffee bar across the hall. It was watery and sour tasting so I didn’t finish. The Peabody needs to step it up on their food/beverage offerings if they want to continue charging those prices for bland, uninteresting food.

The Peabody is the finest hotel in Memphis. The food in this restaurant simply does not live up to that. It is going downhill over the years. It is average at best and nowhere near worthy of being considered fine dining. On a positive note, the service was attentive and was above average. Cocktails were tasty. I think our server's name was Steven. He did a nice job. Chairs are worn even in the waiting area, fabric is torn and tattered. They have bright halogen lights turned up to the maximum in the dining room shining down on you like a spotlight, not doing anything at all for the ambiance. The chicken parmesan was sad and pathetic. The salad I had was tasty, although it was not at all what was described on the menu. On another positive note, the filet I had was cooked perfectly to medium rare, but then again was ruined by being drowned in some type of lobster white sauce that was just way too rich and did nothing for the dish. Ordered a cappuccino, but it was nothing more than hot milk poured into a cup of coffee. I think I've dined here for the last time.

Capriccio Grill is excellent and exceeded our expectations. We ordered pizza and the crust was the best we've ever eaten. Service was exceptional and the atmosphere was relaxing. We will definitely be back.

We did not realize that Sunday Brunch was the only option. We could not eat all of our food and it seemed very pricey . All we wanted was an entree.
