   Just had the best bday dinner at Carlo & Johnny’s! The food as always was fantastic but the real standout was the service. Ally was super attentive and made us feel welcome from the start. Keagan never missed a beat and our waters never dropped below 1/2. Thanks for such a great experience!

   I dined at Carlo & Johnny for the first time the evening of January 11 for an elegant celebration. Overall, everything was as expected. The service was excellent, the ambiance was quaint, and the food was mouthwatering. I can’t help but feel that Carlo & Johnny lacked a little uniqueness: everything was fantastic, but so are many other steakhouses around the city and country. I recommend this restaurant for individuals looking for a timeless dining experience who are craving a good steak. To begin we were served white and rye bread with a truffle butter/herbed butter combination. For my meal, I selected a Malbec wine pairing with my medium rare, dry-aged “Cowboy Ribeye.” As a side, we selected the acclaimed mac & cheese. For dessert, we shared the butter pie, a blended dessert wine, and a pour of Taylor’s 20 year tawny port. Despite the hype, the mac & cheese was just okay and did not live up to the hype. The butter pie exceeded my expectations leaving me craving more. My only feedback to the restaurant is that I felt that the servers / managers were too attentive, interrupting our conversation by asking every 10 minutes how things were. I was asked by multiple people throughout the night what the occasion was although I made it clear on the reservation. It seemed that the crew was trying too hard and that communication amongst the team didn’t include all the details. This was extremely minor, though, on an otherwise perfect night.

   Anna and Matt provided immaculate service to my husband and I, making his birthday dinner feel extra special. Our table was in a quiet corner near a beautiful fireplace and as usual, everything we ordered was amazing.

   We visit Ruby’s often but Carlo and Johnnys is our favorite. Of all the times we’ve been here yesterday was the best. Sarah B., our server was amazing. We were celebrating my birthday and she made the dining experience memorable for our family and even took pictures and printed a photo keepsake. I usually order the cowboy ribeye but Sarah recommended the Australian Wagu Stip Steak which was the best steak I’ve ever had. The flavor was impeccable it cut like butter … words cannot describe how I felt eating this steak. I crowned it with blue cheese but it wasn’t needed. I was dancing in my seat! And it came out on a black slate plate. Love the subtle touches. Oh and they have the best freaking crab cakes. I cant wait to come back for that steak and amazing service.

    We had an exceptional dining experience at Jeff Ruby’s Carlo & Johnny, and our server, Ashley, made it absolutely unforgettable. We were thrilled to be seated in her section again, as she had served us before and left a lasting impression. Ashley’s service was nothing short of impeccable—her attention to detail, professionalism, and warmth elevated our evening. She has an incredible ability to recommend the perfect cocktail, dessert, and after-dinner beverages, tailoring her suggestions to match our preferences perfectly. Her knowledge of the menu and drink offerings is second to none, and her recommendations truly enhanced our experience. The service at Carlo & Johnny is consistently the best in the city, and Ashley exemplifies the excellence that Jeff Ruby’s is known for. We’re already looking forward to our next visit and hope to see Ashley again. Thank you for another amazing night!
