   My wife and I ordered Sunday roasts. Everything was pleasing apart from the Yorkshire puddings were freezing cold. They were replaced with new ones that again were cold. After making my point to one of the waitresses I was told that the chef advised that they are “supposed to come out cold and can be sent back to the kitchen to be warmed if required” what on earth? That is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. I’ve never ate a cold Yorkshire pudding in my life and if a chef believes that they should be served cold is certainly wrong in my eyes. Other than that the food was nice.

   Good setting, normally fantastic food, this time we ordered fish and chips and the fish was very over cooked. Would have stayed for desert however this put us off for the future, did mention to both servers however not sure they were that interested

   As always the food is always outstanding but the servers always let it down. Slow and always seem like they don't want to be there. Such a shame as the food is excellent 👌

   Delicious Sunday lunch ! Our go to place Beef is always fantastic Cauliflower battered is my husband’s favourite thing

   Terrible service. Had to go to the bar to ask someone to come over to take out food order. Vinegar slammed in front of us on our table. No one came to collect our dirty plates. Had to go to the bar to request this. No one asked if we would like dessert. Meal was nice but expensive compared to other places. Disappointing visit and unlikely to return.

   Service was poor we ordered water for the table when our food arrived, it never arrived and we were unable to get the attention of waiting staff until we finished eating. Some of the vegetables were undercooked and couldn’t be cut with a knife

   Nothing short of a sports bar with a huge screen on the wall showing football and high tables to sit at for a meal…..…after having to chase up wait staff to order drinks then food we ordered 4 fairly easy meals, 2 fish n chips , pizza and a gammon steak . They missed a fish n chips off the order(how?!!) and then brought just a bowl of chips!!…..also the pizza was bland, not a shred of garlic and was £17 for a stretched crust, some tomato passata, a few bits of mozzarella and 2-3 cherry tomatoes…..absolutely disgraceful!!…..had to salt it to give it taste!…..the gammon was sitting in a pool of watery stuff and the fish n chips were just ok. We were offered a free drink for the missed off meal which we refused as we just wanted to get out, Also, this is supposed to be a nice hotel but my Bacardi and coke was served up in a club style glass , not a slice of lemon and just one ice cube 😱

   The restaurant is like one of the quite posh steakhouses we have here in Boston Massachusetts. Fabulous cuts of meat and sides. Great service and lovely atmosphere. I’m coming back frequently baby

   Quite expensive for the quality of food served, long wait for food to arrive with side dishes missing . Wouldn’t rush back, I think they rely on hotel guests next door for business. Not a great dining experience. The rump steak is cheaper at miller and carter.

    Food was lovely however service needs improving. Waited a long time for someone to take drink and food orders. Waitress had to go and come back with answers to questions about wine and food.
