Very enjoyable. The food food is consistently excellent. Felipe is a most congenial host. I wish the restaurant were a bit quieter and a bit warmer.

This is always a favorite restaurant experience in the city. The owners of this family-run institution of elevated bistro dining are always especially welcoming and gracious. The menu is adjusted seasonally which I appreciate, but my long time favorites are also there! (Salmon three ways, pork tenderloin with parsnip pure, and the molten chocolate cake with bananas and ice cream!) we love supporting a neighborhood restaurateur who cares about the diner's experience. A wonderful holiday ambiance filled the room with friends and families gathering together in soft light on a chilly December night.

Always our excellent neighborhood go-to restaurant. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. It was a cold night, and the restaurant was quite cold when we first entered (it was early, not that many people), it warmed up slightly as we dined, but still on the chilly side, even as the restaurant started to fill up. Not sure what they can do about it, but it made the dining experience less cozy and pleasant.

Excellent in every way - probably the best French dining experience in town, and that's saying a lot for S.F. My partner and I celebrated our anniversary there last evening and we were treated so well, with a nice "Happy Anniversary" stenciled in chocolate plate and candle to go with our profiteroles. Chapeau!

Chapeau was an extremely pleasant experience overall. The ambience is very nice and relaxing, the food is excellent and the preparation and presentation are beautiful. The maître D was very friendly and helpful and the whole experience was wonderful. We will be back.
