   We ate at Chez Marie last night for the first time. Everything was outstanding, the food, service,ambiance, and comfort were all excellent!!!! I highly recommend Chez Marie.

   We both ordered duck, having an early reservation, but they were already out of duck. I then ordered scallops and requested potatoes instead of rice and was told that they could not do that. The saving grace was that the food we ended up with was good

   This was our first time to Chez Marie. Everything started off great. The lovely owner, Marie greeted us warmly. After we ordered our first courses and salads came out in a very reasonable time. We ordered the onion soup which was very good and the goat cheese salad was excellent. A basket of warm baguette was delicious. Then we waited and waited for our entrée’s. One hour later we asked a hostess to check on it and all she said was our order was put in. Then we asked to waiter to have the owner help. She managed to have the kitchen cook our meals. The salmon was delicious and the duck very good. The deserts were okay. Although it was frustrating we would return and give it another chance.

   They have a bigger drink menu than a food menu, but many of the items ordered were below par. The duck l'orange was tasty, the Coq au Vin was vinegary, and the tarragon checked was dry even though there was plenty of tasty sauce. The whole restaurant was filled, but only two servers. Service was slow, and many mistakes were made. Maybe the owner could have helped more.

   A lovely, genuine French restaurant. I am from France and I’m always amazed how some restaurants claim to be French, but ae a poor copy of it. But this one is the real deal. Lovely owner, Marie welcomes you in a very sophisticated French style. Her husband was trained a s a chef in Lyon. Need I say more. Service was excellent. Their baguettes are flown in from France. Their lamb was outstanding. My husband raved about his salmon. In 3 weeks we have been there 4 times, not much else to tell. Highly recommend this restaurant.

   Delicious !!!!! I would recommend to anyone !!! Prices reasonable food exceptional. Especially the escargot.

   Very nice Prix fixe menu for only $55, a veritable bargain these days. The only thing I wish they would change (and I've seen other criticisms of it), is the orange sauce on the duck l'orange. It's sort of like a derivative of an orange paste/jam with small flecks of orange rind as a topping. A more traditional clear orange reduction would be an improvement, or even a change to a Montmorency cherry sauce would also be a nice change. Otherwise the escargot/ or onion soup were both quite nice as was the desert lemon tart or creme brulee.
