   We had a 9 o’clock reservation and got there at 8:30. We were seated at 10. The restaurant was over booked and many customers kept complaining about the wait. Other than that, the food, service, and drinks were excellent.

   Because we had come to this restaurant last year when we were visiting between Christmas and New Year’s, we made a reservation nine days in advance of our trip. Our kids knew how much we loved it so they bought us a gift certificate to the restaurant for Christmas. We had a reservation for 7:45 PM on Sunday night and we arrived at 7:35. We didn’t get sat until almost 10 after nine. The restaurant was already packed full our but there weren’t near as many people waiting so we didn’t think it would take too long. Then we watched a ton more people come in after us, packing in everywhere with barely any standing room. Several even got sat before us which was very frustrating. It seemed the restaurant had booked many more than they had tables to accommodate. Normally we would just leave and try to go somewhere else, but we felt trapped and couldn’t leave since it was our last chance to use the gift certificate. I will say the manager comped a bottle of wine (house)and gave us dessert for free so that helped but it was such a frustrating experience, that is the minimum of what should’ve happened. The food was good, but I couldn’t eat my steak, which I asked for medium, and came out rare. I got it boxed to go and bought a styrofoam cooler to bring home with us and since we drove to New Orleans. I highly recommend calling this restaurant if you have a reservation to see if they are overbooked they had no explanation for why that happened.

   Our waiter was fantastic and our food was great. Really everything was wonderful once we were seated. However a 45 minute wait when you have an early reservation is a bit of a turn off.

   Had a wonderful experience at Chophouse! We were seated a few minutes early for our reservation. The singer in the bar was wonderful. We split the lyonnaise, asparagus, and salad. My husband had a delmonico steak and I had a filet. Melt in your mouth good. We will be back!

   We had a reservation at 7:45pm. But we have to wait 1 hour 10 mins (9pm) for our table. This never happened to me before. They do tell us that they are running 30 mins behind. If they told us that we have to wait 1+ hour, we would have left!

    It was Christmas day so keep this in mind. Our reservation was at 6:30, we didn’t get seated until 7:30. We kept hearing people complain about the wait times. The poor hostess was subjected to it all. She remained so professional, she deserves a raise. It was obvious why they became so behind, the manager was taking people above people waiting because they were paying, over $100 in some cases to get seated before others. WILD. When we did get seated, our waitress was so nice and attentive. The food was, eh. I mean if you are a steak house, I would assume you know how to cook a steak. Medium well was well done. The steak fries were stale. I don’t know, but for $350 for 3 people, I could have been more satisfied with room service from the hotel. And here’s one more visual for you, we were seated across the table from a couple with a newborn baby (not the issue, they deserve to go out) but they changed the baby at the table. I mean come on, they have bathrooms. No one from the restaurant said anything.
