   I’ve been attending chops Bonita Springs for at least 15 years. If there’s one thing that you can count on, it’s the consistency of how great it always is. The service is great, no matter which server we get. The food is great. I can always count on them for a great date night.

   We had a wonderful evening at Chops. Alexandria was a terrific waitress. The food , as always, was great! Since I’m a veteran they took $50 off the bill for Memorial Day which was very generous. Chops Bonita Springs is our favorite restaurant in Southwest Florida.

   I have been to Chops many times but this visit was a miss. From the poor greeting as we walked in, to the low quality cuts of porterhouse, to the so-so service - it just was not a good experience. My son’s birthday was not a total loss because the calamari and Caesar salad was spot on. He did not, however, get offered a dessert for his birthday, which is the norm when spending $100 per person. If you truly want to be a top tier steakhouse, attention to detail and food quality are a must. I will come back with fingers crossed, in hopes of a return to better experiences from the past.

   $35 for a 9 ounce glass of J Lohr Cabernet is a little over the top in my opinion.

   We went at 5:30 PM and qualified for special menu but waiter didn’t offer until we spoke up. He was not attentive and had to flag down another person for drinks and water. Overall not the best experience for such an expensive dinner for my Dad’s birthday.

   I would like to say that the service was excellent but tonight it was not ask the server to not bring our food all at once because we were not in a hurry and he said that he would not but they rushed us all night and then we ordered dessert and then carrot was still frozen. I am hoping for a better experience the next time I visit.
