Located on the affluent Great Neck corridor in Virginia Beach, just three miles from the Oceanfront, Coastal Grill is as famous for what isn't on the menu as for what actually is. Owner Jerry Bryan with Executive Chef Maureen Cucchiaro and Chef de Cusine Brad Bates at the stove, offer an extensive list of "blackboard specials," always with a nice assortment of freshly caught regional seafood. We always have a great experience at Coastal Grill. The wait staff are so professional and kind. The food is always wonderful. The crab cakes and rock fish were fantastic. Our Caesar salads were fresh, crisp and delicious as well.

Dinner was delicious as always! Clam chowder was so good, as well as the fried scallops cooked to perfection - crispy outside and soft inside. Chicken was tasty too. Brian waitered in us in the bar area and he was great and very attentive. Saw lots of friends on a cold Tuesday night.

The dirty martini’s with blue cheese stuffed olives were tasty. The homemade mozzarella with tomato and basil was so fresh and flavorful. The Bronzino was delicate and melted in my mouth. Didn’t have enough room for dessert, many next time. Definitely added this to our limited list of date night restaurants that have quality food, exceptional service, and worth the price!

One of Virginia Beach's very best restaurants! Delectable meals that are always consistent. (BEST salmon in the area by far!) Elegant atmosphere, fantastic service. A favorite spot!

Absolutely great experience from the moment we arrived. Adam was a great waiter. Attentive throughout the service. Every meal had incredible flavor. Acorn squash were perfect. Will be going back again.
