   The staff is wonderful and the dining room is beautiful. The food is average and the prices are a bit high. Breakfast is much much better than dinner.

   Exceptional dining experience. Service was excellent. I had the trout. It was cooked maybe 30 seconds too long, but it was in no way dry. Parsnip puree was perfect, and I don’t even like parsnips! The oysters Rockefeller was good but there were only 4 of them and a piece of shell at a $22 price point. The cocktails were also expensive (over $20 each) and nothing overly exciting-above average but not commensurate with cost. Overall, would absolutely dine here again.

   Great dinner the menu offering was perfect with selections to meet most any diners desire. The open kitchen is nice you can see the hustle and bustle as they work on your dinner. Great evening

   The food was terrible. It’s 18º out and the only soup is gazpacho. Ordered fish, was supposed to come with parsnip puree (a literal smear) and green beans, etc. There were maybe two beans cut into half inch pieces tossed with cold spinach and cold roasted red peppers dumped from a can. This is dinner, the veggies should be hot and certainly not dumped from a can at this price point. My friend ordered a steak for $65 and it came with four strings of asparagus and nothing else. Who wants a steak with no potato? Such a disappointment. Everything is on the chef, bad bad choices for a ‘high end’ restaurant. I would never come back here unless they got a new chef and new menu. Service was good though! The bread was good too.

   We decided to give this restaurant another chance from a previous experience a few years ago. We love Bedford Springs. We so wanted to have a fantastic experience. We left extremely disappointed and agreed we have given this place enough chances and have decided this was our last visit to this restaurant. Our Server was very nice and attentive. Our appetizers/salads were very good and presented quickly. Same with our meals. we ordered the Special Filet and Scallops. My Filet was to be prepared medium and mine came out raw/rare. Unfortunately the time it took to prepare a new filet meant my wife eat her meal ahead of mine and then watch me eat mine 20 minutes later when it came back. They fixed it properly the second time. No apologies! No Manager coming over and checking in. This place charges fine dining prices but you do not receive fine dining treatment. One small thing that fine dining restaurants do is take your leftover and package them for you. That didn't happen here, a container and bag were left on the table for us to do.

   Lovely space and food is quite good! Service was also very attentive. We have thought the food was consistently better in the past 10+years, having been guests since the hotel reopening in 2007.

    Very disappointed in this place - ordered the steak, it was $66 - which would have been fine given that it's the famous "Bedford Springs" if it was actually good. It wasn't even a Ribeye, or Filet Mignon, or porterhouse.. nope. It was a New York Strip. Asked for it to be cooked medium. They gave me Pittsburgh Rare (browned outside, pink bloody inside). I never ask for steak to be sent back but this time I had to, and I was very polite about it. Server brought it back and it was between Rare and Medium Rare at best. I ate it but I could've bought that steak at the grocery store for $20 (if that) and cooked it just as good on a cast iron myself (and I'm not a great cook). They weren't busy either - there was maybe six tables when we got there, and 3 when we left. Wife ordered the scallops and they were ok - not worth $50-some dollars though - at best $25 and I'm being charitable. Also ordered a non-alcoholic mocktail which they charged $12 for when the menu said $8. I did not complain.. did not ask for anything to be removed from the bill.. and I tipped the server 20% because I used to be a server/bartender so I get it. But I would not go back. I grew up in Bedford, PA - currently live in Pittsburgh, and always wanted to go but I wouldn't recommend the Crystal Room based on this experience. If you're in PA and want a decent dining experience for the same amount of money, make the trip to Pittsburgh and go to any one of the following: Eddie V's, Del Frisco's, Eddie Merlot, The Lamont, or Monterey Bay.
