Fine Italian food in the very centre of Birmingham is Cucina Rustica's trademark, a comfortable, atmospheric Italian restaurant popular with both locals and tourists visiting this vibrant city. Although modern and slick in its execution, the choice of deep earthy colours and moody lighting, tactile materials such as wood and stone and the addition of characterful contemporary art and healthy, verdant plants give Cucina Rustica that slight traditional feel suggested by its name and a certain cosiness that gives it a home from home feel. Attention to detail is in every little touch here at Cucina Rustica, from the single rose placed on each table to the complementary olives produced on every guest's arrival. Equally, food is produced with great care, dishes traditionally Italian but done with flair and a certain amount of style, some unusual choices offered alongside classic favourites, all from the classic Italian cookbook and accompanied by a wide array of drinks.

    We've been to this place a number of times & never had a bad experience. On our most recent visit we enjoyed two courses from the Christmas menu & it was lovely! Thanks again to the Cucina Rustica team for the perfect lunch!

    We visited in the run up to Christmas, and the restaurant was beautifully decorated. We had a fabulous couple of hours, the food is fantastic and the service is warm and friendly. This place is a hidden gem; can't wait to visit again!

    Really enjoyed our experience, the only thing we found frustrating was it was busy and our 20.00 booking was a wait for the table about 20 min with no area to maybe have a drink in comfort, so had to wait in the lobby.

    Visited here on a whim and were able to get a last minute table, we were pleasantly surprised! Pictures don’t do it justice! The vibe was perfect and the food was even better! The bruschetta is to die for!😍 Cannot wait to come back and try something new each time! This will definitely be a regular spot for me. 10/10

    From the moment you’re greeted to the moment you leave nothing is too much trouble for the staff here. From a choice of tables to dine at, to the food & drink there’s plenty of selection all in a great setting. And the Xmas decorations are amazing. I would highly recommend.

    We had a lovely pre-theatre lunch here, the food was fantastic and very good value for Birmingham. The service was excellent and staff were friendly and helpful. We had a seat in a booth by the window with views of the Jewellery Quarter. It's set in a beautiful part of Birmingham, just out of the busy city, in a calmer, quaint part and an easy and pleasant walk in to the city centre and to the Hippodrome. Highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely go back again!
