Best American Restaurants in Commerce City

I love Water Grill! I love fresh seafood and especially live Dungeness crab! They also have the best sourdough. The  menu is updated daily. The service is the best. It’s a very relaxing restaurant to sit and eat. You will love it!

I did like the look and ambiance of the space. The food was mostly good, especially the chicken. I didn't care for the cornbread, very dry and not much flavor. The drinks were decent. This was our team holiday dinner, party of 8. We had an early reservation so the place was not busy when we arrived. Our group was a little disappointed with the service. Our server seemed a little stressed in keeping up with our table, which we thought was odd, since ours was the only large party there at the time. A colleague in our group asked for a to go box and he received a little bit of an attitude from our server, saying he was helping another table first. Lastly, I ordered the strawberry shortcake to go. Honestly, this dessert was terrible! It was made using their biscuits. Very dry, hardly any strawberries or cream. Top 5 worst restaurant desserts!

I wish I didn’t love every bite because that would be more interesting, but I did. LOVED. EVERY. BITE. And the whiskey cocktails were amazing. A delightful experience.

Just reserve and go. It’s only a hidden gem if you don’t go looking. Get curious out of the car entering this most magical property taking its aspen roots revitalizing a long withered pocket of Denver’s beautiful downtown capital hill area.

Ryan did a great job taking care of us for a friends birthday party! From the start he gave us an entire run down of the restaurant, the menu, and the best ways to order. We decided on family style so we could try a bit of everything (it is hard to choose) and we were all satisfied (and very full)! Will be back again for sure!
