Best American Restaurants in Lexington

Outstanding dinner. We had Conner as our waiter and he was incredible!!!He knew his bourbon and created the perfect flights for us. They have an excellent selection of bourbon and their food was exceptional. Will definitely be going back.

One of the best steaks I’ve ever had! The Lexingtonian salad was amazing, too! Best brussel sprouts ever! Will definitely be back the next time we’re in Lexington.

Tonight was our first time dining at the Andover location and I must say, I like it much more than the downtown location. First, the noise level is much better at Andover. We could easily hear each other and carry on a conversation. Secondly, I think the ambience is better. Very much a speak easy vibe. Our waitress was excellent and the food was great. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the bacon cheeseburger was excellent and the mashed potatoes and mac and cheese were highlights. Skip the teriyaki sesame green beans (undercooked and over sauced), but the truffle fries were yummy! Even the bathrooms were cute (love the Golden Girls and Rat Pack themes.) The only odd thing I noticed was that the floor throughout the restaurant was super slick. I think it’s whatever they are mopping with because the floor was slick throughout. All in all, I’d definitely go back again!

It's refreshing to find a restaurant that maintains such high standards across the board – food quality, service, atmosphere, and value. This place has rightfully earned its spot as our favorite local restaurant.

The service was outstanding for our meals. We had the Sir Barton that was cooked to perfection. I had the chicken which I understand is odd at a steak house but they didn’t disappoint as it retained its flavor and juices. We had mushrooms, Mac and cheese followed with the Yukon gold mashed. The Mac and cheese could have been more flavorful but somehow missed the mark. Overall it was a great meal.
