To put it simply service was excellent from the minute we were greeted at the door to taking our leave. The food was exceptional with a large and varied menu that provided everyone with what they wanted. Ordering came down to trying for as wide a selection as possible which was easy. We sat right in front of the hostess stand, and she seemed angry, and we felt like she was glaring at us all night. It may be that she was angry about the slow service, but we felt her wrath. The food and wine was very good, and the waitstaff was friendly and capable. It was all great: fast service leading us to our table (reserved ahead of time), excellent food, great view of the marina and downtown Seattle, and the food was served at a slow speed so we could enjoy a 2 hour dinner with good conversation. The price was higher than what we usually experience when we go to a restaurant for dinner. The food was plentiful but honestly could have been fresher. Also some things didn’t work…consider sticking to the classics like a cucumber sandwich without modifications.
