- AAnnikaNew York City •2 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoIt was my first time at Akira Back for my anniversary and I was taken aback. Firstly, the ambience is beautiful with a lot of attention to detail, a modern design and low lighting - perfect for a date night! Our server Rishi was extremely attentive throughout the night, providing recommendations, free champagne and dessert with a personalized anniversary note handwritten across the plate. She also was so detail-oriented as to fold my fiancé's napkin when he went to the bathroom. Three different servers made a point to wish us a "Happy Anniversary," which we were grateful for. Next, the food was outstanding! I would highly recommend the Grilled Alaskan King Crab (the presentation was stellar and taste was A+) and any of the sushi rolls! The tuna just melts in your mouth. Ugh! We also had the Miso Black Cod which was glazed in a sweet, buttery sauce. The Ribeye was good but not great because all the others were so unique compared to what we're used to when dining out. All in all, I'd highly recommend. Though this is not a cheap place to eat, it's so worth it for a special occasion. Also bonus points for the photo ops in the staircase!More infoAkira BackPrice: Very Expensive• Asian• Entertainment District•4.8
- CCindyToronto / Ontario •4 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoDailo is always delicious but this time we did winterlicious with a group of 4 - the waiter was smart about it and pre-emptively suggested everyone "ordering" a different item, but brought it out in portions enough for everyone, so that we ended up being able to eat the entire menu! Great value! Would definitely do it again.More infoDaiLoPrice: Very Expensive• Asian• Little Italy / College St.•4.8

Third - the food was not only beautifully presented, it was all perfectly prepared and very, very good, with many interesting and appealing options on the menu. My best meal out in Toronto in quite a while.More infoLeePrice: Expensive• Asian• King West•4.8
- TAToriAToronto / Ontario •2 reviews4.0Dined on May 5, 2024The value for what we had was outstanding - sashimi dishes were very fresh, very nice quality, and the rolls were delicious. The karaage was great as well. We ordered around 8:45pm and several dishes were sold out: all of the wagyu dishes, the spring rolls, and the hapa pockets; the sushi bites sold out after our first order, so when we asked for a second we weren’t able to get more. Sapporo on tap was great. Half of our party doesn’t drink and the mocktails were delicious. It was extremely loud inside - I think if you want a quieter meal, try to get an earlier seating, toward the back of the restaurant. Our server was lovely, but service was a bit slow at times. Over all, a good experience for a fun relaxed atmosphere.More infoHapa Izakaya - TorontoPrice: Expensive• Japanese• Little Italy / College St.•4.6
