Best Bavarian Restaurants in Werksviertel

The conditions on booking are outrageous, 20€ in case of no show per person is simply unacceptable, considering we had 2 kids. Now, obviously, I did show up. But 1. It took me ages to book, and I had to change two credit cards. 2. We had two kids with us, and basically, with consumption, we paid almost 40€ more. Now the question is... with no food and service to pay. Is 10€ per person with a minimum of 50€ in case of no show, already enough? With a menu' which honestly it has not much to offer, although everything we had was good, and the service was great, it left me with a bitter feeling. And I believe it is my last time at the restaurant.

We returned to the Rathskeller 35 years later from our first visit for our anniversary. This time we took our kids. We had our first married dinner here in 1989 and now we returned for our 35th anniversary dinner. It’s been updated and the menu is much larger but just as charming and fun. Highly recommended as it’s an icon in Munich. Service was great, food was good and the atmosphere was fun. For a Resturant that is some 600 yrs old it’s aged well! A recommend stop if you’re in Munich looking for a classic fun place to go.

Excellent place with traditional quality food. Located on the first floor, opposite the opera, it offers a great view and fantastic atmosphere (high ceiling, classical decoration). The food is fine dining with local cuisine and the wine list sufficient. Overall, highly recommend; you wont be disappointed.

Great Hospitality and Service (relation building from the waiters. Stefan was great). The food was exceptional and the price normal.
