Delicious food and great drinks (Gingerbread Espresso Martini and Gingerbread Glacier Brew). We split the banana bread and each had the Eggs Benedict with avocado. Neither of us was able to finish our eggs. The hash browns were delicious! Our water was constantly filled and the server was present without being intrusive. Crowded and very noisy but fun!More infoWaverly Kitchen and BarPrice: Expensive• American• Charlestown•4.8
- PPamelaVIPWashington, D.C. Area •59 reviews4.0Dined 1 day agoExcellent food and service. Several of our group shared a selection of oysters, and individually ordered blue crab salad, ceviche, yellowfin tuna tartare, romanesco cauliflower, Maine mussels, halibut, bouillabaisse, and Arctic char. Everyone loved what they got! Service was very good. Our table was beneath a couple of very efficient space heaters but our server immediately agreed to shut one off when we requested it. They do not offer dessert or coffee, which struck us as bit unique. Note also that they add a 20% pre-tax gratuity automatically. Note to mobility-impaired diners: the restaurant entrance is up five steps and through a vestibule (two doors). The Google listing says front entrance and restrooms are wheelchair accessible, but I did not notice an elevator at the entrance nor was I offered to use an elevator when I inquired about the location of the restrooms. Restrooms are down two flights of stairs which are also used by waitstaff and porters to bring stuff up from the kitchen down there. It’s possible they have accessibility options that you must ask about.More infoSelect Oyster BarPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Back Bay•4.9
- JJuliaGreater Boston •7 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoIt was a Saturday night and Eastern Standard was the place to be! Excellent food (carrot ginger soup is a must and swordfish with coconut rice special should be a regular on the menu!) and attentive service (we had a few requests as it was a business dinner) made for a great experience. Love the cocktail menu, variety on the dinner menu and fun, festive atmosphere. Oh, and easy parking. Will definitely be back.More infoEastern StandardPrice: Expensive• American• Fenway–Kenmore•4.5
