As someone who grew up locally but now only visits once a year, discovering this restaurant was a delightful surprise. I first came here for brunch with a friend and was so impressed that I immediately decided to bring my family back for dinner. When we arrived, we encountered an unexpected situation where another group had taken our reservation, claiming to be us. Despite the mix-up, the staff handled the situation with utmost grace and professionalism, quickly resolving it and ensuring we were well taken care of. The food was outstanding—every dish was flavorful and beautifully prepared. My friends and family all thoroughly enjoyed their meals, and the experience was nothing short of memorable. I truly hope that the exceptional quality of food and service remains consistent, as I can’t wait to return on my next visit home. Highly recommended!More infoThe Story Cafe - Eatery & BarPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Richmond•4.6

I was unable to attend due to a medical emergency, so the 3 of them went. The dinners and wines were delightful and the waiter/somellier from Montenegro was excellent. Provence Marinaside was the first restaurant that I took them too some 20 years ago. They remembered it in detail when they arrived for the reservation.More infoProvence MarinasidePrice: Expensive• Seafood• Yaletown•4.8

- GGordCalgary / Southern Alberta •3 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoThe restaurant had a casual setting. We went there for the Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinner buffets. The buffet had lots of options to fit everybody’s tastes. The food was excellent and the service was as well. - CCherylToronto / Ontario •6 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 24, 2024At an absolutely stellar experience at Fable. As a vegetarian, the squash steak was one of the best veg entrees I've had in a very long time. Deliciously flavoured and interesting (unlike the pasta marinara or risotto that many places seem to resort to as their obligatory veg option). You could tell thought had gone into it. And props to the bartender who took care of us when we were unsure about the options. Our server Olga was fabulous. We had such a good time with her; she put the "cherry on the top" of our wonderful evening. I was dining with my mother and she agreed that it was the best food she had in a long time and was already making plans to return. Thank you, Fable!More infoFable KitchenPrice: Expensive• Farm-to-table• Kitsilano•4.6
