- DDavidLondon •7 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoHad the 9 course taster menu. Each course was excellent, although it was funny that dashi featured in the first three courses. It didn’t matter and we would have gladly drunk gallons. The only picky point was that I told them I am gluten intolerant on the booking and when we arrived, but still got given multiple courses with gluten ingredients. If I had assumed that they were correct, it could have been messy.More infoDarleys RestaurantPrice: Expensive• British• Derby•4.5
- CChristianStaffordshire •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoI took my wife to Lunar, for the first time, for our 22nd Wedding Anniversary, yesterday. She had no idea that I was going to do this and no idea what Lunar would be like. It turned out to be far more than we expected. The food and drink were exceptional, both in taste and presentation. The service was a refreshing return to the time when staff cared about who come in and how they were dealt with, from the moment we walked through the door to when we were given the guided tour afterwards. For us, a totally immersive experience that we greatly appreciated. Thank you.More infoLunarPrice: Expensive• British• Stafford•4.5
- CChristopherVIPWorcestershire •69 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoA good friend travelled many miles to meet me. I chose the Ivy as I have been going there ever since it opened in Birmingham and eat in the many Ivy restaurants in London and elsewhere. I trust the menu and the wine list. Today the only things that went wrong were a polite request for the table I usually get or the second best table ( in my opinion). Yet having booked several weeks ago both were taken. When were they booked? Secondly the double espresso arrived cold. It was unlike the Ivy to do that. I have known all the previous managers but not the present one. I must introduce myself at my next visit.More infoThe Ivy Temple RowPrice: Expensive• Contemporary British• Birmingham•4.4
- JJohnLondon •3 reviews5.0Dined on Feb 8, 2025Peerless in the local area. Food superb, some amazing dishes which were all good. From chicken pie to steak, risotto, chicken parfait to tarts tatin all superb Local bar also part of the pub restaurant which was nice to see. Only negative was one of the bar proper uppers decided it was ok to vape at the bar - pretty disgusting and staff seemed accepting of this as most diners had left at that point . Well done Duncombe, superb meal and top of your gameMore infoThe Duncombe ArmsPrice: Expensive• British• Ashbourne•4.6
