- LLindaSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review4.0Dined todayOur experience was a mixed bag. The latkes with smoked trout were outstanding. Burgers were also delicious. The steak, on the other hand, was not great. It was tough and difficult to cut or chew. It was also completely raw in the middle. I like rare but this was extreme- and very off-putting. I left half of it on the plate, which at $68 for the entree felt pretty bad. In addition, the sides paired with the steak weren't particularly good. Sorbets for dessert were mind blowing. I would return but couldn't help feeling a bit disappointed by the quality of the most expensive entree.More infoNopa - San FranciscoPrice: Expensive• Californian• North Panhandle / USF•4.7

The chef is creative and really focuses on extracting the most flavor from each bite. The service is always excellent. It always amazes me that we can have this type of meal pre-ballet without feeling overly rushed.More infoNightbirdPrice: Very Expensive• Californian• Civic Center / Hayes Valley / Van Ness•4.7
- MMichaelVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •274 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoHayes Street is always good. Consistent, unfussy delicious food, friendly efficient staff and I love what it says about the owner/management that many of the staff members have been there for years. The Bay Area is blessed with many other terrific seafood restaurants with more innovative or complex fare but for a beautiful piece of fish, simply and beautifully prepared, nothing beats Hayes Street Grill. Ditto their perfect French Fries. One "ding" for a dry, lifeless cheesecake but the creme brûlée was delicious. So nice to see it really busy last night well after the Opera, Symphony, Jazz Center rush.More infoHayes Street GrillPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Civic Center / Hayes Valley / Van Ness•4.7
