The space is open, bright and cozy. The menu has a nice variety for those who might think the restaurant only serves chicken dishes. The honey dusted chicken was delicious with a batter that wasn’t too heavy and the fries were crispy and tasty. My husband ordered a medium rare steak and it had just about every temperature a steak can be cooked. It was served sliced and only one or two pieces were medium rare and one was well done. We didn’t try an appetizer, although I loved that if you ordered the biscuits for a cause, the proceeds go to Tupelo Honey Relief & Development Funds that aid Tupelo employees in need! I love that they had mini desserts and you could get one of each of their popular desserts, mud pie & banana pudding. I’m not a fan of the texture of pudding but this was amazing, thick and creamy! The mud pie had a great taste and gooey chocolate layer on top! The only downfall was the crust was a little thick and was had to cut with a spoon.

We’re from Pittsburgh and make a point to get to Root and Bone any time we’re in the area. The food is always incredible and service is great - our server Riley was fantastic. The Brisket ‘Meatloaf’ is my daughter’s fave! I did the Grilled Peach Salad and fries this time - they were heavenly. I think highly recommend checking it out!!
