- BBrittanyAtlanta Metro •2 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoOne of my favorite San Francisco restaurants! Delicious cocktails and I really love the $9 martinis on Thursdays. I ordered the pork chop for the first time and it was delicious. Really flavorful and the broccolini and mashed potatoes were the perfect pairing.More infoWilder SFPrice: Moderate• Comfort Food• Marina / Cow Hollow / Presidio•4.2

- DDavidVIPCalifornia Central Coast •2 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 14, 2024I don't know if anyone would expect the Opera Cafe at Burlingame to be a fantastic place to eat, but we adore it. The staff is attentive, friendly, and accommodating, and the fare is just excellent. I really wanted some comfort food I can't get anywhere else, and my husband and I were with an elderly friend who eats like a bird, so we also needed a choice of small options. Max's covers all bases so well (we've been here many times before). I had the matzo ball soup and potato lakes, my husband was able to get his French onion soup and a humongous Chinese chicken salad, and our "mom" got the BBQ pork sliders with fries. We all had beautiful drinks and the famous Niagra Falls cake for dessert, while sitting under colorful Christmas lights, listening to the wonderful pianist play selections from Vince Guaraldi's "A Charlie Brown Christmas". What a great night with family at a superlative restaurant!More infoMax's of BurlingamePrice: Moderate• American• Burlingame•4.3
