- DDanAtlanta Metro •7 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoEverything about this place is spot-on! We were in town staying at Hotel Bardo to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday and chose it over two other suggestions from our bartender, Jamar. Our cocktails were beautifully crafted; you have to try a classic margarita and a Last Word. We chose the puréed cauliflower soup and chicken liver mousse on spiced pumpkin bread for our starters. They were both rich and comforting without being heavy. Our main courses were a New York strip, the day’s special, and the pork belly. The steak was cooked perfectly and complimented with a delicious chimichurri drizzle which was not overpowering like many of them can be. The generous portion of pork was paired with a beautiful demi-glacé and an apple butter highlighting the natural sweet and salt of the belly. Dessert was a simple house made ice cream with shortbread crumbles which tasted like a Christmas memory. The price point is at the higher end, but well worth it. You are paying for quality ingredients prepared by talented people served by exceptional staff.More infoLocal 11ten Food & WinePrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Historic District - South•4.8

- DDonnaSouth Carolina •2 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoAn absolutely lovely evening. We started the evening with a Lemon Drop martini and a martini for the hubby. Very good. We began our foods with the Beef Carpaccio, excellent. The bread was substantial and very good with the Carpaccio. Sometimes it's too hard, this was great. The quail eggs were delicious. Rylie (sp?) our server helped my hubby decide on the Elk Tenderloin as he was undecided. I am so glad she did - WOW. One of the best pieces of meat either of us have ever had. I had the Filet and it was excellent. Overall, an outstanding experience and The Bluffton room has improved over the years to become a place to celebrate those special occasions or just to have the very good burger at the bar. Can't wait until next time!More infoThe Bluffton RoomPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary American• Bluffton•4.9
- RRhondaVIPCharlotte •14 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoFirst came perfectly chilled martinis. Everything that followed was delicious, but if local pecan crusted flounder with brown butter sauce is a special, order it. Ours came with three large filets served on a copious bed of perfectly cooked green beans accompanied by a yummy square of parmesan polenta. While the Caesar salad was tasty, topped with white anchovies, it had a bit too much of what appeared to be pre-shredded packaged parmesan cheese. For the price, some freshly shaved parm & house-made croutons would have been better. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the pear & arugula salad. There was also a good selection of desserts but, alas, we had dined to well to have any. Kudos to the chef et al in the kitchen & to the bartender. All the rest of the CQ staff, from hostess to servers & bussers, were welcoming & efficient. And, your evening will be made even more perfect if you are seated at a table that includes Michelle as your wait person. Her warmth, efficiency & sense of humor was delightful & topped off a most wonderful evening.More infoCQ'sPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Hilton Head Island•4.8
