Best Contemporary European Restaurants in West Midtown

A cool place. Great atmosphere. Good energy but not over the top. Food is outstanding!

The food was classic and excellent. All four loved their dishes from the smash burger to the wild boar ragu. everything had flavor and was satisfying. The cauliflower hummus was fantastic. i thought the Dragonbird cocktail was more hype than flavor but it was fun. Of note, my tea at the end of the meal was delicious (mint ginger from Zen Tea). the perfect ending. So many restaurants either don't have tea or have horrible tea. The tea matched the quality of the meal. The space is truly beautiful, elegant, and whimsical with the floating lamps and flowers on the ceiling. I thought it was a great choice to only have that in the bar. It was fun but not overdone and when sitting in the main dining room you could see it (peek a boo) but not be enveloped in it. We will definitely return!

Had dinner here on Feb 20. Date night. Food and service were very good, sea bass, beef pasta, salad, special rose dessert. But it’s the atmosphere that is on another level. Very special. I will not forget it.

My dinner was delicious and the service was fantastic. I highly recommend Portico. I can't wait for my next visit there!
