Best Contemporary French Restaurants in Willesden

We all enjoyed the food and the Chocolate fondant dessert was one of the best I have ever had. So light, not too rich or sweet. Lamb dishes were cooked extremely well, 3 people in our group loved them and fish mains also cooked very well. Only downside was restaurant was cold as it is winter. Staff who served us were lovely and polite led by the main waiter we had named Jonti (hope I spelt correctly). Hopefully will return later in the year and eat out on the terrace area they have.

CORE is exceptional. We've been fortunate enough to have been to a significant number of Michelin 3 stars. We both agreed this is a top 5. It's hard to add anything meaningful to the prior positive reviews. I'll add a couple of items I haven't seen much in the reviews. First, my wife is a vegetarian and CORE accommodated that beautifully. Second, the price of CORE, is very fair, particularly when compared with other 3 stars. We both had the classic menu, drank a nice bottle of Malbec, had two cocktails and some cognac. The bill was less than $1,000 US. While that is still a lot of money for a meal, it's probably the least we've paid at the 20 plus 3 stars we have now been to. Finally, we were impressed that the founder was very visible and friendly to patrons throughout the evening. That's something we are increasingly seeing less of in 3 star restaurants. It was nice to be greeted by her as we walked by the kitchen. It seems ridiculous to give a review and not talk about the food at all. It is exceptional and I have no insights that other reviewers have not already provided. This is a 3 star restaurant in every respect.

Amazing food from starter to dessert. We were a party of 4 and tried 4 different main courses- monkfish, venison, duck and rabbit. All were done so nicely. Great chat with the chef afterwards. The only shame is not knowing this place before and come earlier. Enjoy!

Raymond was the highlight of the night for us. What a top class waiter (maybe he’s the manager as he acts on this level). He easily charged our table for my elderly mother and took her by the arm/hand to walk her to the table as she has slight mobility problems. He’s service is better than staff at the Ivy restaurants and he is a true asset to the restaurant. Helena was also amazing and also took care of my mother during bathroom trips. Overall the service staff went far above and beyond excellent service.
