Best Contemporary Italian Restaurants in Fairfield, New Jersey

I had early dinner with my family (cousin and 2 children)as it was their 1st visit at Carmine's. I ordered up a bunch of food and appetizers. They loved everything and I kept reminding them that portions are family sized. They ended up eating too much of the appetizers and 1 was too full for the main courses (LOL) They loved everything including dessert. I was happy and so were they. It was a wonderful experience as waitstaff was excellent, everything was excellent. Will return again.

This is our favorite spot in Ridgewood and never disappoints. Great food and drinks, very cool ambiance, especially the bar but no bad seats in the house. The fish dishes are always delicious and have inventive preparations and the chicken parm and pasta are delectable. J had the fish special herb-crusted cod and it was really good. The farm salad and calamari were a terrific start. Our server, Sam, was excellent, and hosts are always attentive.

The appetizers were delicious and the fish special was perfectly prepared (sorry, I don't remember the name. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive.

First time coming here on a Saturday, the place was packed, but I could still talk to my girlfriend with no problem. While the calamari was overcooked, the flavor was still good. The Sea Bass special entree was out of this world and cooked perfectly - such an amazing dish. The tres leches was an amazing way to end the evening and is sooooo good at Fusion 27.

Excellent food and service, a little on the loud side. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and specials. She didn’t hold back and told us how she felt about dishes when we asked. Manager stopped by to check when our food came out which was nice. Overall excellent and if I am back in Verona in the future, I would go again.
