Best Continental Restaurants in Midtown West

Heating was very high and next to the glass although view was great it was very hot and too bright. Some blinds would be great just to give a bit of shade. That’s said food and service was 1st class.

Delicious dinner at the Russian Tea Room! My husband had the sea bass and I had the scallops. The atmosphere is as romantic as it ever was. The prices are a bit high, but the food was wonderful and this is a special place. It’s a New York icon for a reason. On a side note, any negative reviews I’ve read were for tea. Despite the name, I don’t think this is really a tea place. Go for dinner, and you won’t be disappointed. All the dinner reviews were glowing.

Everything about our experience was lovely and charming! Felice was so welcoming & happy to have us back. Agim was so warm & professional. What better way to start our brunch than with a basket of pasties & croissants! Love the citrus yogurt with berries & granola! And Catskills smoked salmon was perfect. We really enjoyed the live music “Still Crazy After All These Years”. And we will be back again in a few weeks! Till then table 31🩷

An enjoyable spot for a pre-theatre dinner. It feels a lot like a pub in England or Scotland. The food is good and the portions are generous but not over-sized. The Connolly’s lager and IPA are both quite good.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Sardi's! This is the quintessential New York theatre district restaurant, just as wonderful today as decades ago when I first visited. The service is unparallelled, just exceptional! We had three maroon-jacketed servers attending to our table, and they were happy to answer any questions, share their favorite menu choices with us, and fill us in on Sardi's legendary history. And the maitre d' stopped over several times to see how we were doing. Our meal was wonderful, as always. Tonight we tried the chicken parmigiana with haricots verts and yukon gold potatoes, a really nice change to have an Italian entree without pasta. Dessert was Chocolate Decadence, a delectible wedge of chocolate Devil's Food Cake, Dark Chocolate Fudge Frosting, and Chocolate Truffle Cream. A must-try! But the highlight of this awesome experience has got to be the famous illustrated portraits lining the walls. So much fun to guess the names, and our servers were thrilled to chime in to help. Dine at Sardi's before or after you go to the theatre... this is THE nyc Broadway experience!
