Best Farm To Table Restaurants in Fonthill Gifford

The Pythouse is one of those amazing places that you want to keep all to yourself, and not tell the world about. But it deserves to be shouted about - it is a wonderful place to eat and the very best place to celebrate special occasions. The quality of the food is brilliant and the staff are absolutely wonderful, not to mention the tranquil and beautiful garden it’s set in. Highly recommended.

Lovely setting and excellent service, but the food doesn’t quite live up this. Mothers’ Day menu was perfectly nice but the lamb was a cheap cut not well cooked. Huge flakes of sea salt sprinkled liberally on virtually everything. The menu felt as though it had been designed around cost and simplicity of preparation / ease of service and was nothing special. Would love the food to match the environment.

Food is just amazing! Hats off to them! Good wine list Very pretty location, decor and atmosphere.. Service - really needs improvement, very long wait for food and drinks or to get the bill. Paper napkins are not acceptable for this type of restaurant level. Will give it a go again soon. :)

We really enjoyed food, it was very good and yummy. The atmosphere was very busy for us, but we understand the idea of the restaurant.It's a family place and it's great.Maybe if the weather is warmer we could sit outside and enjoy calmer environment.Thanks.
