Best Farm To Table Restaurants in Carmel Valley

It opened in August and we just discovered it. We loved the open design of the place. Savanah was our server and very attentive. The menu is fairly simple but sufficient in variety and they have many hearty dishes, all organic and well prepared. I have mixed feelings about writing a review since I hope it stays available to us on short notice, but I am sure it will become swamped over time.

This was my first time at Mr A’s and giving full accolades. The service was as good as it gets. Rory is a veteran server with an extensive knowledge of wine, food and decorum. The whole staff did a wonder job as well. Liked the signature Old Fashion and the wine that Rory recommended. We had oysters, caviar and the lobster fritters to start. The baguette was warm and a great complement to the starters. The entrees were all loved. I had the rack of lamb that was perfectly cooked medium rare with an amazing white bean provencal. Jared, our server, was excellent! We began with cocktails. Great experience for New Year’s Day. Food was delicious and entrees were followed up with dessert & coffee. Two young gentlemen waited on us and they were delightful. Thank you Torrey Pines Grill. We will see you again.

We were led to believe this was an upscale restaurant, country club casual. We expected this atmosphere. Next to us was a a husbands, donned in a baseball cap, his wife and two children. The children were loud, obnoxious, and continued with antics sprawling about there space. Other diners were shouting for attention at their tables, the noise level was over the top. I wanted to stand up but I’d have to scream, Quiet Down…. It was deafening, unbearable.

We had a fantastic experience. The staff were spectacular, the food was amazing, the ambiance, incredible. It was an anniversary celebration for us and the service blew us away, from the personalized menu to the amazing attention to detail by all the staff. A very happy experience all around. We highly recommend
