- SSusanNew York City •10 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoI brought my niece here. First time for both of us. Superb! I had the Smoked Old Fashioned cocktail, with the smoke adding a nice layer of flavor to the drink. The layering of flavors was the theme at Rustic Root. We shared the crispy Brussel Sprouts and Crispy Artichokes. Again, excellent layering of flavors with just the right amount of spice to both. For our main dishes I had the Scallops with Snap Pea Risotto and my nice ordered the Roasted Local Cauliflower with Farro. Again superb on both, especially my niece's dish. Many vegetarian meals in restaurants have no real depth to the flavors in the dish but here it did. My only suggestion would be to possibly offer two vegetarian dishes on the menu rather than just one. An excellent evening from beginning to end. Will be adding Rustic Root to my list of favorites and will definitely be back.More infoRustic RootPrice: Moderate• Farm-to-table• Woodbury•4.6

She was in tuned to our needs, knowledge of the menu and drinks, and very charismatic. Our meal was delicious, I got the spaghetti and the addition of baratta cheese was fantastic. The atmosphere was the icing on the cake. I felt like we were in some far away land. The twinkle lights, the trees, it was magical.More infoSerra by Birreria - Eataly NYC FlatironPrice: Expensive• Italian• Gramercy Park•4.3

Hamachi crudo was great and I love the idea of local fresh ingredients. I’m glad we came- the halibut was a little too hard on the outside for me but the inside was nicely cooked. Brussels and potato purée were simply delicious. The brûlée cheesecake and cappuccino to finish helped power the 20 block walk home! It’s up there with the best of the restaurants I’ve been to. Prices were a little high but that’s what you expect in NYC.More infoCraftPrice: Very Expensive• American• Gramercy Park•4.7

Second we had the wedge salad which was very fresh and the spicy ranch was so good. Third we had the skirt steak with twice baked potato. Skirt steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The cranberry pear punch cocktail was great!! All around great atmosphere. Highly recommend!!More infoThe AldermanPrice: Moderate• American• Midtown West•4.2

The coffee crusted venison carpaccio was tender and delicious. I had the squash angolotti that were plump and the creamy sauce has just enough truffle and pepper notes. My husband had the spicy octopus ragú and it was light and flavorful. Finished the night with a hefty pot de crème that was perfection. Trish was out server and she was attentive, witty and efficient as the dining room was filling up punctuated by Bryson and Jillian who made sure we had everything we needed. once again walked away full and happy!More infoSemolina RestaurantPrice: Expensive• Farm-to-table• Red Bank•4.8
