Best French Restaurants in Noe Valley

I think they are booked themselves for Christmas or some people got there realize they were sitting outside and insisted on sitting inside. Some people did not leave after their hour and a half allotted time so we were sat an hour and 15 minutes late we stood outside weren’t even offered a chair then after an hour they offered us to eat outside and I was like well whoever didn’t sit at this table must’ve taken ours inside so since we’ve waited so long, we’re gonna just wait a little bit longer. When we finally got inside, our server, rushed us so much. He was talking so fast and literally standing over me from behind because it was so crowded. I don’t know if they added an extra table for the holidays, but I don’t remember the restaurant being so table crowded probably the worst waiter I’ve had all year The saving grace after all this was the food was incredible. We did not complain because we understood that the time constraint was due to customers, although running a restaurant business in San Francisco and being open on Christmas Day you would have to expect stuff like this. At least it was better than Christmas Eve dinner here last year. The food was not very good and although we asked to be sat inside, they sat us outside and we froze. I definitely will go back to try it again because the food was so good this year, but I will not go back on a holiday.

RUN to eat here. The best meal I’ve had in SF after 7 years. Better than Quince, Rich Table, Osito, Earnest, Saison. I’m not even kidding and yes, I know those are different cusisines. The food is divine. Authentic French food and service (if they liked Americans).

It was a very special Christmas Eve dinner! I first heard about this restaurant when it was reviewed in the SF Chronicle 11/3/24. It was as good as it possibly could be. The food was absolutely delicious. My daughter & I ordered the steak & frites & I asked for my frites to be very crispy & for 2 dishes of aioli to dip them in & they easily accommodated me. The steak with peppercorn sauce was tender and a perfect medium rare.

Excellent lunch, excellent cocktails, warm and thoughtful service. Our server asked right away if we were going to a performance and made sure we got there on time, without any sense of rushing. Highly recommend!

Excellent all around! We had the boeuf bourguignon, steak frites, blanquette de veau. All delicious. We also enjoyed the desserts, we’d recommend the crème brûlée and chocolate fondant. Great atmosphere inside and great staff.
