This is my favourite place to eat. It was a cold Saturday afternoon and not only was the central heating on but the log fire burned steadily. It was a delight. The food and service were, as always, excellent. We all had the monkfish curry which was delicious.

We, as a couple, went there for the first time together with a group of around 20 friends a couple of weeks ago. Having not been there before , I looked at reviews on TripAdvisor & in all honesty, from a lot of the negative reviews I had read, I made my mind up not to join the rest of the group for the occasion. I then pondered over it for a while & changed my mind. I'm so glad I did because from my experience having gone there that night, the negative reviews I had read couldn't be further from the truth. The food & service we received was next to none. After enjoying a fantastic night with the group, we decided to go there again for Valentines night for another meal just as a couple. I only booked the table the previous night & was surprised there was availability. When we arrived it turned out someone else had been given our table. We were politely asked to go & get a drink so the staff could sort it out. We must have been at the bar for literally less than one minute when a staff member came & told us they had sorted out a table. Considering it was a busy night & the fact we had only booked a table but not any food, from ordering the food to it being served only took about 30 or 35 minutes which was far quicker than we expected. In our opinion & from both the experiences we have now had at the Ivy House, I really cannot see how anyone could complain or leave a negative review. The staff are kind & friendly & go out of their way to make sure your night is what you're expecting it to be. The food is delicious & we will definitely be returning regularly. Absolutely spot on! Credit to all of you & thank you for making both of our visits virtually faultless

I booked this for my daughter and her boyfriend for Valentine’s Day , although I didn’t go they said it was a very lovely place the meal was delicious and great service. I did call before due to my daughter being a fussy eater, they talked me through everything even the reduced menu , honestly you don’t get this from many places , the woman I spoke to for half an hour was lovely and she made the experience the best . Maybe next time I will go myself they seem to really look after there customers.
